Steward Butler punched it in from a yard away with only 5:05 left in the first half to give the hosts an even more comfortable advantage.

UTSA ended the run with under a minute left before halftime as Sean Ianno made a 24-yard field goal.

After a scoreless third quarter, Haig made a 31-yard field goal try in the opening minute of the fourth quarter to end the drought. The Roadrunners finally found the end zone as Soza rushed one yard for a touchdown with 9:44 left to play.

The Herd added some insurance with under four minutes showing on the game clock as Cato tossed a four-yard touchdown pass to Demetrius Evans.
