NCAA Game Summary - Yale at Penn

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Zack Rosen led the way with 20 points as the Penn Quakers downed the Yale Bulldogs, 68-47, in an Ivy League clash at The Palestra.

The win allowed the Quakers to remain tied in the loss column of the conference standings with Harvard. Penn must now win Tuesday night at Princeton to tie the Crimson atop the Ivy standings and force a one-game playoff in order to determine the champion and the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

For the Quakers (19-11, 10-2 Ivy), Ben Belcore added 11 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists for the hosts.

Greg Mangano and Jeremiah Kreisberg each finished with 10 points for the Bulldogs (19-9, 9-5).

Yale was cold out of the gate, making only 24 percent from the floor, including just 1-of-4 from beyond the arc. Conversely, Penn started with the hot hand, connecting on 50 percent from the field, including 3-of-6 from three-point range, as the Quakers went into halftime leading 30-22.

After the break the Quakers pulled away, shooting 59.1 percent from the field while holding the Bulldogs to 30.8 percent. Penn opened the second half on a 20-2 run to take complete command of the contest. The Quakers led by as many as 29 late in the half, as they cruised to the easy victory,

Penn dominated in the paint, outscoring Yale 26-18. Yale was able to convert 14 offensive rebounds into 15 second-chance points.
