NCAA Game Summary - Lamar at George Mason (Saturday, February 18th) Final Score: George Mason 75, Lamar 71 Fairfax, VA (Sports Network) - Ryan Pearson recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards as the George Mason Patriots registered a 75-71 win over the Lamar Cardinals as part of BracketBusters weekend at the Patriot Center. Also scoring in double figures for George Mason (23-6) was Sherrod Wright who tallied 13 off the bench in the team's fifth straight victory. The Cardinals (17-10) were paced by Brandon Davis who dropped in 13 points, Devon Lamb with 12 and Mike James 10 points in a reserve role as the squad lost for the second time in three outings. The Patriots shot an incredible 68.0 percent from the field in the first half, including 4-of-7 behind the three-point line and 9-of-11 at the free-throw line, in order to take a 47-34 advantage at the break. In the second half the Patriots cooled to 45.8 percent from the floor, allowing Lamar to battle back, but still the hosts were able to hold on for the four-point win.
