NCAA Game Summary - North Texas at F-I-U (Thursday, February 9th) Final Score: North Texas 68, F-I-U 61 Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Tony Mitchell finished with a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead the North Texas Mean Green to a 68-61 win over the FIU Golden Panthers in a Sun Belt Conference battle at U.S. Century Bank Arena. Alzee Williams added 16 points in the win for North Texas (14-10, 7-4 SBC), while Brandan Walton registered 15 points. Phil Taylor scored 16 points to lead the way for FIU (7-16, 4-7), which also got 13 points and seven boards from DeJuan Wright. The Golden Panthers were limited to just 35.7 percent from the field during the opening stanza, enabling North Texas to take a 26-23 lead into the break. The Mean Green then shot at a blistering 59.1 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes to capture a seven-point victory.
