NCAA Game Summary - Valparaiso at Murray State (Saturday, December 29) Final Score: Valparaiso 66, Murray State 64 Murray, KY (Sports Network) - Ryan Broekhoff scored 18 points to lead the Valparaiso Crusaders to a 66-64 win over the Murray State Racers at the CFSB Center. Jordan Coleman came off the bench to score 10 points for Valparaiso (10-4) which won for the fourth time in five games. Kevin Van Wijk brought down a game-high nine boards. Valparaiso won despite turning the ball over 17 times. Isaiah Canaan led the way for Murray State (9-3) with 24 points and six assists. Ed Daniel added 14 points and two blocked shots and Dexter Fields scored 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from behind the arc. Murray State never trailed in the opening period and led 31-28 at halftime despite shooting 37.9 percent from the field. The Crusaders shot 44.4 percent but made just one shot from beyond the arc. Valparaiso trailed by five points with 7:37 remaining when they scored nine in a row to take control, capped by a 3-pointer from Ben Boggs. Boggs later made a pair of free throws with five seconds left to seal the victory.
