NCAA Game Summary - Dayton at Xavier

Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Tu Holloway scored seven of his 32 points in overtime, boosting Xavier to an 86-83 win over Dayton at the Cintas Center.

Holloway, who missed just one of his 15 free throw attempts, also had six rebounds and five assists. Mark Lyons tallied 20 points, including the first four Xavier points of the extra session.

Xavier (17-9, 8-4 A-10) has won 27 straight games against the Flyers in Cincinnati. Dayton's last win over XU in Cincinnati came Jan. 10, 1981.

Dezmine Wells ended with 12 points for the Musketeers, who bounced back from a loss at Temple last Saturday.

Kevin Dillard scored 20 to go with six assists for the Flyers (16-10, 6-6), who won their previous two games after a four-game skid. Paul Williams and Chris Johnson each scored 18, while Matt Kavanaugh ended with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Despite making just 10-of-29 shots in the opening 20 minutes, Dayton held a 37-32 lead at the half. The Flyers then watched the Musketeers shoot 57.1 percent in the second half, although Dillard sent the game into overtime when he knocked down a driving layup with 1.2 seconds left.

A three-ball from Luke Fabrizius with 13.9 seconds left got the Flyers within 84-83, but Holloway then made two from the charity stripe. Dillard missed a three-point try from the top of the arc in the dying seconds of the extra session.
