Bucs, Dotson agree to three-year extension

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers locked up their starting right offensive tackle on Thursday, signing Demar Dotson to a new four-year contract.

Dotson, who had one year remaining on a two-year pact he signed as a restricted free agent last March, started the final 15 games on a Tampa front line that tied for the third-fewest sacks allowed in the NFL in 2012.

Originally signed by the Buccaneers as an undrafted college free agent in 2009, Dotson has started 17 of his 38 career games played during his four NFL seasons.
