Knicks down Magic for 5-0 start

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Led by Carmelo Anthony's 25 points, the New York Knicks downed the Orlando Magic, 99-89, to remain the NBA's lone undefeated team.

Raymond Felton and J.R. Smith poured in 21 apiece for the Knicks, who are 5-0 for the third time in team history and for the first time since the 1993-94 season. Tyson Chandler added 12 points and six rebounds in the victory for New York, which has won each of its games by double-digits.

The Magic, who have been plagued by injuries early this season, gave the Knicks perhaps their toughest test through three quarters, but were outscored 22-13 in the final period.

Seven players for Orlando scored in double-figures, with J.J. Reddick leading the way with 18 points and also dishing out seven assists.

Nikola Vucevic posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards, while Arron Afflalo finished with 13 points, five assists and four rebounds for the Magic, who have lost five games in a row.
