| NOTES | | | Phil Mickelson arrives at the Northern Trust Open this week as the two-time
defending champion. Last year, Mickelson parlayed a third-round 62 at Riviera
into a one-shot victory over Steve Stricker. Lefty closed with a shaky
one-over 72 in the final round Sunday, but still captured his second straight
Northern Trust Open at 15-under 269. Joining Mickelson at the 84-year-old
event will be a host of other past champions, including Ernie Els and Adam
Scott, as well as Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington, Anthony Kim and Vijay Singh.
Three of the 2009 major champions -- Angel Cabrera, Stewart Cink and Y.E.
Yang -- will also be on hand. Golf Channel will have coverage of the first
two rounds, while NBC will broadcast the final two. Next week is the AT&T
Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, where Dustin Johnson won last year.
