Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - D.J. Cooper scored 18 points to lead the Ohio University Bobcats to a 65-57 win over the Toledo Rockets in quarterfinal round action of the Mid-American Conference Tournament at Quicken Loans Arena.
Walter Offutt added 13 points to help pace the third-seeded Ohio (25-7), while Reggie Keely chipped in 13 points as well from off the bench.
Curtis Dennis scored 17 points to lead the way for seventh-seeded Toledo (18-16), which also got 12 points from Reese Holliday.
The Rockets stifled Ohio to a miserable 26.7 percent from the field during the opening stanza, but the Bobcats managed to take a slight 26-24 lead into the break thanks to an 8-of-13 effort at the foul line.
The Bobcats then hit 52.0 percent of their attempts from the floor over the final 20 minutes of play to capture an eight-point victory.
The Bobcats advance to the semifinal round on Friday to take on No. 2 Buffalo.
