NOTES:
Race 1 in the Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit, which is held at The Raceway at Belle Isle Park, is the sixth race on the 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series season.

The Raceway at Belle Isle Park hosted two Indy races on the same weekend for the first time last year. It was also the inaugural doubleheader weekend in series history. Mike Conway won Saturday's first race, driving an entry for Dale Coyne Racing. Simon Pagenaud scored his maiden IndyCar victory by taking the checkered flag in the second event, which was held on Sunday.

The street circuits in Houston and Toronto will host doubleheaders again this season. Houston's Reliant Park is scheduled for June 28-29, and Toronto is slated for July 19-20.

Belle Isle hosted IndyCar-sanctioned races from 2007-08 before this track was dropped from the schedule for the next three years. IndyCar returned there in 2012.

This track also held CART races each year from 1992-2001. Helio Castroneves scored back-to-back CART victories there from 2000-01. Juan Pablo Montoya won consecutive poles at this track from 1999-2000.
