The Milwaukee IndyFest at The Milwaukee Mile is the ninth race on the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series schedule.

Hosting auto racing events since 1903, The Milwaukee Mile is the oldest operating motor speedway in the world. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway began hosting races in 1911.

This one-mile oval has 9.25 degrees of banking in all of its turns and 2.5 degrees on the straightaways. The lengths of the frontstretch and the backstretch are 1,265 feet.

Before it began hosting IndyCar sanctioned races in 2004, this track held open-wheel events in CART (1980-2003), USAC (1956-79) and AAA (1939-55).

Milwaukee was dropped from the IndyCar schedule in 2010 but rejoined the following year.

Since '04, Dario Franchitti and Tony Kanaan are those drivers who have scored multiple victories at Milwaukee. Franchitti won at this track in '04 and '11, and Kanaan took the checkered flag there in back-to-back years (2006-07).

Ryan Briscoe scored his maiden Indycar win at Milwaukee in June 2008. Briscoe was in his first season with Team Penske at the time. He is driving the No. 4 car for Panther Racing in this weekend's race.

Ryan Hunter-Reay won last year's race at Milwaukee. Hunter-Reay, who is the defending IndyCar champion, dominated the second half of the 225-mile event, leading the final 84 laps. It was the first of his four victories for the season. He also won a Champ Car Series race at this track in 2004, leading all 250 laps.

The next race is the June 23 Iowa Corn Indy 250 at Iowa Speedway. Hunter-Reay is the defending race winner.
