Description: Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery did not practice Thursday, was a limited participant in Friday's session, but is active for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Insight: Santonio Holmes could see more work, but with both Jeffery and Brandon Marshall active you can't start him.

Description: Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery did not practice Thursday, but was a limited participant in Friday's session.
Insight: Bears beat writer Rich Campbell received a less-than-enthusiastic, "We'll see," when asked if he was ready for Monday night. Looks like a game-time decision, but as the last game it makes it tough on fantasy owners. Santonio Holmes might see a bump in targets.

9/11/2014 3:43:00 PM
Description: Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery did not practice again on Thursday.
Insight: Jeffery was forced out of Sunday's game in the fourth quarter and missed all of the overtime with a hamstring issue. With Marshall hurt as well, it is quite possible the Bears play against the 49ers on Sunday with Santonio Holmes being Jay Cutler's No. 1 target. Check on Friday to see if Jeffery returns to practice and obviously if only one of them plays Sunday night, he should see an increase in targets.

Description: Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery did not practice Wednesday.
Insight: Jeffery was forced out of Sunday's game in the fourth quarter and missed all of the overtime with a hamstring issue. It's still early in the week, but should be watched.

Description: Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery was unstoppable Sunday at Minnesota, catching 12 balls for 249 yards and two touchdowns.
Insight: Jeffery beat Brandon Marshall to 1,000 yards despite being 85 yards behind him when the game began. The second-year wideout has reeled in 70 passes for 1,109 yards and five touchdowns on 118 targets this season while averaging 111.67 receiving yards per game over his last nine.

Hot10/6/2013 5:47:00 PM
Description: Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery had a career game Sunday against the Saints, catching 10 balls for 218 yards and a touchdown.
Insight: Jay Cutler targeted Jeffery 13 times, seven more than any other Bears player. Brandon Marshall has been blanketed by opposing defenses in recent weeks, but the emergence of Jeffery as a dangerous weapon should open things up for Marshall going forward.

9/29/2013 6:25:00 PM
Description: Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery blew up for 107 yards on five catches Sunday in a loss to the Lions.
Insight: Teams seem to be keying in on Brandon Marshall, which usually leaves Jeffery wide open. Jeffery has also shown that he can be a dangerous runner with 57 yards on just three carries this season. He could make for an interesting flex option going forward.

8/24/2013 11:25:00 AM
Description: Chicago receiver Alshon Jeffery caught seven balls for 77 yards against Oakland on Friday night.
Insight: The second-year wideout appears to be gaining the confidence of quarterback Jay Cutler and the coaching staff. He could take a big step forward if he can stay healthy as opposing defenses are designed to stop Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte.

12/9/2012 12:15:00 PM
Description: Chicago receiver Alshon Jeffery, who participated fully in Friday's practice, is active for Sunday against the Vikings.
Insight: The rookie wideout missed the Bears' last two games after receiving a knee scope. He may get a few targets but Brandon Marshall is still the only Chicago receiver worth owning in fantasy.

12/7/2012 7:47:00 PM
Description: Chicago receiver Alshon Jeffery participated fully in Friday's practice and is expected to play Sunday against the Vikings.
Insight: The rookie wideout missed the Bears' last two games after receiving a knee scope. He may get a few targets but Brandon Marshall is still the only Chicago receiver worth owning in fantasy.

11/20/2012 10:13:00 PM
Description: Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery will have arthroscopic surgery to repair his injured right knee on Wednesday. The operation is expected to sideline him for 2-to-4 weeks.
Insight: Jeffery suffered the injury in Monday night's lopsided loss to San Francisco. The injury now puts Jeffery's availability in doubt for the upcoming fantasy playoffs.

11/20/2012 11:23:00 AM
Description: Chicago receiver Alshon Jeffery left Monday night's game with San Francisco due to a knee injury and is questionable for Sunday's game against Minnesota.
Insight: Jeffery had just returned from missing five weeks due to a broken hand. he caught two balls for 15 yards. If Jason Campbell continues as the Bears QB against Minnesota then Jeffery has almost no fantasy value.

Description: Chicago receiver Alshon Jeffery (hand) practiced fully Friday and is on track to play Monday against the 49ers. SOURCE: Vaughn McClure, Chicago Tribune
Insight: Brandon Marshall is the Bears' No. 1 and 2 options in the passing game but Jeffery should help open things up for the superstar. With Jason Campbell starting Monday against the vaunted 49ers defense, we'd stay away from Jeffery in Week 11.

11/9/2012 2:47:00 PM
Description: Chicago receiver Alshon Jeffery returned to limited practice Friday, but is not expected to return to game action until his fractured hand is fully healed.
Insight: Jeffery had seen the second-most targets on the team through five games, though Brandon Marshall was still far and away the team's top receiver. Look for Jeffery to return in Week 11.

10/8/2012 9:01:00 PM
Description: Chicago receiver Alshon Jeffery will need 4-to-6 weeks to recover from the broken hand he suffered Sunday against Jacksonville.
Insight: Jeffery has seen the second-most targets on the team through five games, though Brandon Marshall is still far and away the team's top receiver. Look for Kellen Davis and Devin Hester to see more opportunities in Jeffery's absence.

10/8/2012 7:14:00 PM
Description: Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery suffered a broken hand Sunday against Jacksonville.
Insight: Jeffery only has 184 receiving yards this season but he does have two touchdowns, including one yesterday versus the Jaguars. Even if Jeffery is able to play after Chicago's bye in Week 6, Brandon Marshall remains the only fantasy worthy receiver on the Bears' roster.
