Big third period pushes Canucks past Flames

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Maxim Lapierre potted the game-winner as part of a three-goal third period that lifted the Vancouver Canucks to a 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Wednesday at the Saddledome.

Mason Raymond, Alexandre Burrows and Daniel Sedin each scored once, while Roberto Luongo stopped 40 shots for the Canucks, who have won four straight to push their lead to six points over the Minnesota Wild atop the Northwest Division.

Curtis Glencross scored the lone Calgary goal, while Miikka Kiprusoff allowed all four goals on 29 shots for the Flames, who have lost six of their last seven games.
