Named to the All-ACC First Team in 2007 when he led Virginia Tech with eight and a half sacks and was among the team leaders with nine tackles for loss...Perhaps even more impressive was the 38 quarterback hurries attributed to the efforts of Ellis over the course of his 14 starts for the Hokies...Of the unit's nine recovered fumbles, three were captured by Ellis, who finished his four-year career at VaTech with 165 tackles over 52 appearances...Made an immediate impact with the Hokies as a freshman when he tallied 7.5 tackles for loss on just 33 stops...Unfortunately, in addition to having a couple ofshoulder injuries that have required surgery, Ellis has also tangled with the law, which may be too much for potential suitors to look beyond.
