Description: Starter Graham Godfrey was traded to the Boston Red Sox to complete the Sandy Rosario trade.
Insight: The 27-year-old Godfrey went 0-4 with a 6.43 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in five appearances (four starts) with the Athletics last season. At this point he doesn't appear to be in line to make the Red Sox starting rotation and has little value.

Description: Oakland minor league starter Graham Godfrey currently leads the Pacific Coast League with a 1.93 ERA in 10 starts for Triple-A Sacramento. The right-hander has gone 7-0 with 45 strikeouts in 65 1/3 innings.
Insight: The 27-year-old Godfrey went 0-4 with a 6.43 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in five appearances (four starts) with the Athletics earlier this season, but he did have a 3.96 ERA in the same number of appearances in 2011. Since Godfrey was demoted to Triple-A at the end of May, he's gone 4-0 with a 2.52 ERA, though six of his 10 earned runs in that span came in his latest start against Fresno (currently third in the PCL with a .291 team batting average). Considering the PCL's reputation as a hitter's haven, Godfrey's numbers at Triple-A Sacramento this season are pretty impressive.
