Insight: Craig's season has been a disaster, batting .217 with eight homers and 46 RBI in 448 at-bats. So much more was expected after last season's .315 with 13 HR, 97 RBI and .830 OPS. He does have a favorable matchup Friday night.

Description: Red Sox outfielder Allen Craig may have potential to break out of his season-long slump Tuesday night.
Insight: It is a bold statement, as Craig is just 7-for-59 since joining the Red Sox, and has simply not been the same player since his Lisfranc injury a season ago. However, he has fantastic numbers (.458 BA in 24 AB) against Pirates' starter Charlie Morton, and could be a great play in daily leagues tonight.

Insight: Even with the solid numbers against Capuano, Craig has been in such a slump that it is hard to put him in your lineup at this point. He is 0-for-9 in his last three games and has just three hits in 28 at-bats since returning from the disabled list on Aug. 21.

Insight: Craig wasn't hitting when he left St, Louis (.237) and hasn't hit in his first four games with Boston (.214), although he did knock out a couple of base hits Sunday in the series finale with Seattle. prehaps with this favorable matchup, it's the start of a turnaround.

Insight: Craig has been suffering from foot problems since late 2013 and until he proves he is healthy on the field, Craig does not hold much fantasy value. The outfielder is a career .291 hitter but is batting just .237 this season with St. Louis and Boston.
