LSU has won two in a row and three of its last four games, all in SEC play.
The Tigers hung on to beat Missouri, 77-71, Tuesday, which gave them a 3-2
record in the conference. LSU sits two games back of SEC leader Florida.
Alabama has dropped two consecutive contests after the team had won three of
its previous four games. The Tide were defeated by Missouri last Saturday and
by Florida, 68-62, Thursday at home. Alabama is sitting at 2-3 in the SEC.
The Crimson Tide have a handle on the all-time series lead between the two
programs, 101-67. This clash represents the first and only time these teams
will meet during the regular season.
Missouri erased a 62-56 LSU lead to take a 65-64 advantage with 3:41 left to
play before LSU woke up in its 77-71 win. Shavon Coleman netted a team-high 19
points for the Tigers on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor. Johnny O'Bryant III
scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Jordan Mickey had a double-
double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Andre Stringer contributed 12 points in
the win. The Tigers shot 44.1 percent from the floor.
O'Bryant leads the team this season in scoring at 14.4 ppg on 51.1 percent
shooting. His 7.5 rpg mark is the team's best as well, only slightly ahead of
Mickey's 7.3 rpg average. Mickey tops the squad in blocked shots with 62 and
is second in scoring with 13.1 ppg. Stringer checks in at third on the team
with 12 ppg.
Alabama's loss to Florida at home snapped the Crimson Tide's 14-game SEC home

range, while Florida connected on 35.7 percent from distance. Trevor Releford
scored 14 points to pace the Crimson Tide, adding a team-best four assists to
his stat line. Nick Jacobs added 12 points, Levi Randolph scored 11 and
Shannon Hale contributed 10. From the floor, Alabama connected on 38.6
percent of its shots.
Releford has been the go-to player for Alabama this season, netting 18.1 ppg
on 49.8 percent shooting from the field. His 49 assists is a team best, and 40
steals is topped only by Retin Obasohan, who has 41. Obasohan is second on the
team in scoring with 12.2 ppg, and leads the squad in blocked shots with 23.
Rodney Cooper leads the Tide with a 4.5 rpg mark.
Alabama's SEC home winning streak was just ended by Florida, and, unless the
Crimson Tide can step up offensively against LSU, the team may go on a two-
game home losing streak.
