Williamsburg, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Marcus Thornton finished with a game- high 26 points in leading the William & Mary Tribe to a 74-63 victory over the College of Charleston Cougars in Colonial Athletic Association action at Kaplan Arena.

Brandon Britt chipped in 15 points off the bench for William & Mary (12-7, 4-2 CAA), which has won three of its last four.

Anthony Stitt paced Charleston (11-11, 3-4) with 18 points. Anthony Thomas added 16 points and Willis Hall tacked on 15. Adjehi Baru tallied 10 rebounds. The Cougars have lost three of their last four.

It was Charleston that led 34-25 at halftime. The Cougars sank 48.3 percent from the floor in the first half, including a 5-of-10 performance from 3-point range. William & Mary hit on 42.3 percent from the floor and missed both attempts from beyond the arc.

The Tribe heated up in a major way after intermission, shooting 69.6 percent overall. including 7-of-11 from 3-point range. Charleston could not keep up, registering only 11 field goals in the period.

William & Mary outscored Charleston 18-3 off of turnovers and 13-5 at the free-throw line.
