NCAA Game Summary - Belmont at Morehead State

Morehead, KY (Sports Network) - J.J. Mann scored 11 points, including the
game-winning 3-pointer, as the Belmont Bruins overcame a double-digit halftime
deficit to defeat the Morehead State Eagles, 64-63, in Ohio Valley Conference
action at Johnson Arena.
Ian Clark led all scorers with 20 points on 7-of-10 from the field for Belmont
(16-4, 7-0 OVC), which has won seven straight since league play opened earlier
this month.
For Morehead State (10-11, 4-3), Bakari Turner netted 16 points, while Chad
Posthumus tallied a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Milton
Chavis (12 points) and Angelo Warner (11 points) were also impressive for the
Eagles.
Morehead State opened up a 36-25 lead at the half behind 50 percent field goal
shooting. Belmont shot only 35 percent in the opening 20 minutes, including 1-
of-9 from 3-point range.
The Bruins climbed all the way back to tie the contest at 61-61 with 2:02
remaining. The Eagles retook the lead on their next possession on a Posthumus
bucket, setting up the game-winning trey by Mann with 1:13 to play. Morehead
State missed both of its field goal attempts in the final minute as Belmont
held on.
Morehead State held a firm advantage on the boards, 36-21, but it also
committed a game-high 20 turnovers.
