NCAA Game Summary - UCF at Houston

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Isaiah Sykes finished with 22 points and nine
rebounds as the UCF Knights took down the Houston Cougars in overtime, 79-75,
in Conference USA action at Hofheinz Pavilion.
For the Knights (12-5, 2-1 C-USA), Keith Clanton added 19 points, Calvin
Newell scored 15 points and Kasey Wilson chipped in with 11 points.
Daniel House and TaShawn Thomas both posted double-doubles for the Cougars
(12-5, 1-3). House scored 15 points and pulled down 11 rebounds while Thomas
had 11 points and 13 boards. Joseph Young added 14 points and Jherrod Stiggers
finished with 11 points, as the Cougars dropped their third straight decision.
Houston shot 50 percent from the field in the first half, including 3-of-8
from 3-point range, as it took a 37-32 lead into halftime. UCF started off
strong as well, making 51.9 percent of its field goal attempts, but it went
just 1-of-7 from 3-point range.
The Cougars led for nearly the entire second half and held a 72-68 advantage
with 2:33 to play in regulation, but a layup by Clanton and two free throws
from Sykes with 1:27 remaining tied the score and sent the game to overtime.
In the extra session, UCF scored the first four points and never trailed as it
pulled out the victory.
UCF dominated down low, outscoring Houston in the paint 52-36
