(Saturday, February 23) Final Score: Niagara 92, Northwestern State 76 Lewiston, NY (Sports Network) - Juan'ya Green and Antoine Mason each scored 20 points as the Niagara Purple Eagles ran past the Northwestern State Demons, 92-76, in BracketBusters play from the Gallagher Center. Ameen Tanksley and T.J. Cline each added 12 points and Marvin Jordan chipped in 11 for Niagara (17-11) which has won three straight. Gary Roberson scored 20 points, DeQuan Hicks tallied 14, Jalan West registered 13 and James Hulbin put in 12 for Northwestern State (19-7) which had a nine- game winning streak snapped. Niagara shot 43.5 percent from the floor and Northwestern State hit 42.3 percent of its field goal attempts in the first period. Niagara led 31-30 at the break by outscoring the Demons 12-3 from beyond the arc. After halftime the Purple Eagles erupted, hitting 66.7 percent from the floor and 8-of-10 from beyond the arc to pull away for the victory.
