San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Guy Landry Edi scored 13 points as the Gonzaga Bulldogs closed their West Coast Conference regular season with a 65-57 win over the San Diego Toreros at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
Robert Sacre and Kevin Pangos score 11 points each for the Bulldogs (23-5, 13-3 WCC) who have won six of their last seven and have clinched the second seed for next week's conference tournament. Elias Harris grabbed 12 rebounds.
Johnny Dee scored 13 points for the Toreros (12-17, 7-9) who will be seeded sixth for the conference tournament. Darian Norris and Dennis Kramer scored 10 points each, while Christopher Anderson collected seven boards.
Gonzaga led 31-25 at halftime after shooting 44 percent from the floor in the first half. The Bulldogs led by as many as nine before the break.
San Diego rallied to take a four-point lead with 7:43 left in the game. The game was tied up, 57-57, with 2;07 left, but Gonzaga scored the last eight points of the game to pick up the victory.
Gonzaga held a 40-27 edge in the rebounding battle. The Bulldogs will close their regular season against Longwood on Monday night.
