NCAA Game Summary - Hampton at Delaware

Newark, DE (Sports Network) - Devon Saddler poured in a game-high 26 points to power the Delaware Blue Hens past the Hampton Pirates, 68-64, as part of the BracketBusters event at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Jarvis Threatt chipped in 14 points off the bench in the win for Delaware (15-12), while Jamelle Hagins pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds.
Darrion Pellum scored 18 points to lead the way for Hampton (9-17), while Christopher Tolson netted 15 points. David Bruce finished with a double-double of 12 points and 11 boards for the Pirates, while Mike Tuitt tallied 10 points in a losing effort.
Delaware shot at a solid 51.9 percent clip during the opening stanza to earn a 38-27 halftime lead.
The Pirates held the Blue Hens to just 30.8 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes, but a 14-for-16 effort at the foul line helped to stave a late Hampton rally and earn Delaware the victory.
The Pirates shot just 36.5 percent from the floor overall during the contest, including a 4-of-17 showing from beyond the arc.
