Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Delbert Love scored 17 points, Spencer Dixon had 16 and Kennesaw State rallied in the second half Friday for a 69-65 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the final round of the Las Vegas Classic.
Aaron Anderson had 13 points and 17 rebounds for the Owls (3-9), who came back from a 35-21 deficit at halftime to snap a seven-game losing streak.
Myron Dempsey scored a game-high 20 points with 10 rebounds to lead Texas A&M- Corpus Christi (1-10) while Chris Hawkins-Mast added 11 and Hameed Ali and Terence Jones scored 10 apiece.
The Islanders were outscored 48-30 in the second half and have now lost eight in a row since their only win November 22 over Utah State.
After shooting below 22 percent (7-of-32) in the first half, Kennesaw State shot better than 52 percent (11-of-21) in the second half to take control of the game.
The Owls never trailed after Brandon Dawson's three-point play made it 55-53 with 5:51 remaining.
Still, they had to fight down the stretch after Terence Jones hit a jumper to make it a one-point game with 3:56 to go. The Owls scored their last 12 points at the foul line to hold on.
