GAME NOTES: The Division II New Orleans Privateers will try to take down the San Diego Toreros in the Hoops for Hope Classic this evening at the Fogelman Arena.

The Privateers opened the season with lop-sided losses to New Mexico and Rice, but they hope to find success against Division I foes here in this event. New Orleans is averaging 62.2 points per contest while shooting 34.8 percent from the floor. The Privateers are allowing their opponents to score 71.8 points per game with a field goal shooting effort of 47.6 percent.
San Diego is 2-1 after dropping a 73-60 decision to Montana in its last outing. The Toreros took down Stephen F. Austin and San Diego Christian in their first two contests. San Diego is shooting 45.3 percent from the floor to average 71.7 points per game. The Toreros are allowing opponents to shoot 50.7 percent from the floor but are holding them to 65.7 points per game.
