Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - Sei Paye hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to lift Texas San-Antonio to a 78-77 victory over Oral Roberts in the opening round of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Kannon Burrage scored 22 points to lead UTSA (2-0), which also got 12 points from Jeromie Hill and 11 points from Michael Hale in the win.
Stephen Franklin chipped in 10 points and Paye finished with eight for the Roadrunners, who shot 55.1 percent from the field.
Steven Roundtree led Oral Roberts (0-2) with 22 points and nine rebounds, and Warren Niles scored 20 points and eight boards in the losing effort. Dominique Morrison 17 points for the Golden Eagles.
Oral Roberts led 46-31 at halftime, but were doomed by shooting just 34.8 percent from the field in the second half as UTSA rallied.
UTSA was outrebounded 30-25, but turned 15 Oral Roberts' turnovers into 25 points. The Roadrunners also received 30 points from their bench, while Ora Roberts' reserves combined for just nine points.
