NCAA Game Summary - Coastal Carolina at Alabama

Tuscaloosa, AL (Sports Network) - Tony Mitchell, Trevor Releford and Charvez Davis scored 12 points each as the Alabama Crimson Tide downed the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, 68-44, in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament at Coleman Coliseum.
Senario Hillman scored 11 points for the Crimson Tide (22-11), the top-seeded team in their region who will face New Mexico in the second round. JaMychal Green added 10 rebounds and nine points.
Chad Gray and Anthony Raffa scored 10 points each for the eighth-seeded Chanticleers (28-6). Jon Pack pulled down eight rebounds to go along with eight boards.
Alabama ran out to a 38-22 halftime lead after shooting a sparkling 55.2 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes. The Chants made a mere 30.8 percent from the field in the frame.
Alabama dipped to only 40.6 percent from the field in the second half, but still managed to lead by as many as 30 in the period.
The Tide shot 47.5 percent from the floor for the game and was 7-of-20 from outside the arc. Coastal Carolina, which turned the ball over 19 times, shot just 33.3 percent from the floor.
