Anchorage, AK (Sports Network) - Trent Lockett scored 18 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out six assists as the Arizona State Sun Devils topped the Houston Baptist Huskies, 73-55, in game three of the Great Alaska Shootout.
Kyle Cain and Keala King both scored 13 points and Cain grabbed 17 boards for Arizona State (2-1), which have won two straight since its opening night loss to New Mexico.
Andrew Gonzalez finished with 26 points and Miles Dixon scored 14 for the Huskies (0-4), who will face Alaska Anchorage on Friday.
Gonzalez ended the first half with 10 points, but the Sun Devils capitalized on 12 early Houston Baptist turnovers to take a 32-19 lead heading to the intermission.
Arizona State's lead never dropped below five in the second half and Lockett connected on two from the foul line with 2:34 left to put Arizona State up by 19 at 72-53 for its largest lead of the game.
Dixon connected on a layup on the next trip down the court to cut the lead to 17 but a Rihards Kuksiks free throw with 47 ticks left accounted for the final margin.
