Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Rod Odom tied a career-high with 20 points as the Vanderbilt Commodores registered a 75-72 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks in the second round of the SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena.

The 10th-seeded Commodores (15-16) also leaned on Kyle Fuller who tallied 19 points, Kedren Johnson 13 and Dai-Jon Parker 11 points to go along with seven rebounds. With the win the Commodores will be back in action on Friday in the quarterfinals versus second-seeded Kentucky.

B.J. Young accounted for 16 points and five boards for seventh-seeded Arkansas (19-13), while Marshawn Powell logged 13 and nine rebounds before fouling out, followed by Michael Qualls with 10 points off the bench.

The Razorbacks led by three points early on in the meeting, but the squad shot just 38.5 percent from the floor in the first half, including 2-of-8 beyond the arc, en route to a 38-30 deficit at the break.

In the second half Arkansas battled back in order to make things interesting, but the squad ended up converting only 12-of-21 at the free-throw line in the period as Vandy held on for the victory.

In a game that featured four ties and three lead changes, the Commodores survived despite 17-of-30 shooting at the charity stripe.
