San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Chad Rasmussen scored 19 points to lead the Seattle Redhawks to a 53-37 win over the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners in a Western Athletic Conference matchup ay the Convocation Center.
Clarence Trent added nine points and a team-high eight rebounds for Seattle (8-19, 3-14 WAC) which ended a six-game losing streak.
Jeromie Hill had 15 points and seven rebounds and Kannon Burrage added 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting for UTSA (8-20, 3-13 ) which has lost its fourth straight while tying a school record for fewest points scored in game.
In the first half Seattle shot 55 percent from the floor and held UTSA to just four field goals, to take a 29-11 lead into the break. The 11 points from the Roadrunners were the fewest scored in a half in school history.
The Roadrunners hit seven shots from beyond the arc but hit just 22.6 percent from the field overall in the second period. The Redhawks also knocked down seven 3-pointers and shot 43.2 percent to cruise to victory.
Seattle had a 38-34 edge in rebounds and outscored UTSA, 14-8, in the paint.
