NCAA Game Summary - ULM at South Alabama

Mobile, AL ( - Tylor Ongwae finished with a game-high 19 points to lead the ULM Warhawks to a 64-58 victory over the South Alabama Jaguars in a Sun Belt Conference tilt at the Mitchell Center.

For the Warhawks (6-7, 3-2 SBC), Amos Olatayo added 12 points and Nick Coppola and Daniel Grieves each chipped in with 10 points.

Augustine Rubit posted a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Jaguars (7-12, 1-5), while Aakim Saintil scored 11 and Mychal Ammons pulled down 12 rebounds.

South Alabama shot 40.6 percent from the field, but just 3-of-16 from 3-point range in the first half. The Jaguars were still able to take a 34-27 lead into halftime. ULM struggled with its shooting in the opening period, making only 36 percent of its field goal tries and 2-of-9 from beyond the arc.

After intermission, the Warhawks improved to 48 percent shooting and held the Jaguars to a woeful 22.2 percent from the field, including just 1-of-11 from 3-poitn range. Trailing by four with just over 13 minutes to play, the Warhawks used a 16-5 run to take the lead for good, and held off the Jaguars down the stretch for the win.

The Jaguars did outrebound the Warhawks, 46-34. The teams combined for just 17 turnovers.
