Srebotnik, Nestor win Aussie mixed doubles crown

Melbourne, Australia (Sports Network) - The team of Katarina Srebotnik and Daniel Nestor won the mixed doubles title at the Australian Open on Sunday.

Srebotnik of Slovenia and Nestor from Canada beat Yung-Jan Chan from Chinese Taipei and Australia's Paul Hanley 6-3, 3-6, 10-7.

Srebotnik and Nestor won 81 percent of their first-serve points.

It was Nestor's eighth Grand Slam doubles title and second in mixed doubles after he took this event with Elena Likhovtseva of Russia in 2007.

For Srebotnik, it was her fifth mixed doubles Grand Slam title.
