Chivas USA inks Moore
Carson, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chivas USA announced on Monday the club has signed former Aston Villa forward Luke Moore.
Per club and league policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"Moore is a very talented player who has proven his scoring ability at the international level by playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world," said Chivas USA head coach Wilmer Cabrera in a club statement. "He's going to be a very important addition to our team in terms of competition, depth, and possibilities up front to create scoring opportunities and goals."
Moore, 28, joins the Goats after having last featured for Sanica Boru Elazigspor of the Turkish Super League, where he went scoreless in 17 appearances.
Prior to landing in Turkey, Moore spent a chunk of his young professional career with Aston Villa in the Premiership. He also enjoyed stints with West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City.
He will be eligible to play for Chivas USA upon receipt of his International Transfer Certificate.
