Kaka excited to make Milan return
Turin, Italy (Sports Network) - Ten years after breaking in to the first team for AC Milan, Brazilian midfielder Kaka is set to make his first appearance for the club on Saturday at Torino since securing a return from Real Madrid.
The 31-year-old bagged 95 goals in 270 games for the Rossoneri in six seasons before moving to Madrid, and he can't wait to put the Milan shirt back on again.
"I'm going to be as emotional as I was 10 years ago," Kaka said of his return. "I'm ready for my debut."
Kaka has joined a Milan side that is coming off of a 3-1 win over Cagliari two weeks ago which came following a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Hellas Verona to open the campaign.
Milan will also begin play in the Champions League group stage this week with a home contest against Celtic, and Kaka knows that with talented attackers like Mario Balotelli and Stephan El Shaarawy already in the team, a starting place is not guaranteed.
Torino will hope to spoil Kaka's return with is second win of the season after a 2-0 setback at Atalanta.
Juventus and Inter Milan have both started with two wins from two games this season and the two traditional rivals will square off at the San Siro.
After a ninth-place finish in Serie A last term, Inter is determined to bounce back with a better season this time around.
Striker Rodrigo Palacio has already scored two goals in the first two games, but he is also quick to acknowledge that his team still has work to do.
"We've had a good start," Palacio said. "But there are teams that are much stronger than us like Juve, Napoli and Milan."
"We are taking it one game at a time knowing that we are still making lots of mistakes.
"We have to play against Juve as though this was our final game."
Napoli is also off to a great start with two wins to open the season by a combined score of 7-2.
The club will hope to continue that form on Saturday at home against Atalanta, while Fiorentina tries to remain perfect with a home win over Cagliari.
Promoted sides Hellas Verona and Sassuolo square off at the Marcel' Antonio Bentegodi, Lazio entertains Chievo, Bologna eyes its first win of the season at Udinese, Genoa hopes to snap a two-game losing skid to start the season when the club meets Sampdoria, while the weekend closes on Monday with Roma trying to continue its perfect start at Parma.
