Description: The Hawks will give forward Mike Scott a chance to start in place of Kyle Korver (back) on Wednesday, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Korver will miss his fourth straight game.
Insight: Shelvin Mack has been starting at shooting guard but will move to the bench. DeMarre Carroll can play both wing positions which allows the Hawks to have some flexibility with their starting lineup when Korver is out. Scott has averaged 10.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 threes and 1.0 steals in three starts this season.

Description: Atlanta power forward Mike Scott had zero points on 0-of-6 shooting Wednesday but bounced back with 20 points, five rebounds, three threes and three steals in 40 minutes Sunday at Phoenix.
Insight: Even with the scoreless effort Wednesday included, Scott has produced 16.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 threes and 0.8 steals his last five games. It's uncertain what Scott's role will be once Pero Antic and Paul Millsap return from injuries.

Insight: With at least 10 points in 12 of 13 games this month despite playing just 21.5 minutes per game in that span, Scott is putting himself on the fantasy radar. He has averaged 13.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 threes per game in January.

Description: Atlanta power forward Mike Scott had 15 points, 10 rebounds, one steal and one three in 28 minutes off the bench Tuesday against the Heat.
Insight: Gustavo Ayon started in place of Paul Millsap (elbow tendinitis) but played just 22 minutes and had four points and six rebounds. Scott would be the better pickup if Millsap has to miss an extended period of time.

Description: Atlanta forward Mike Scott knocked in 23 points Wednesday in a loss to New York.
Insight: Scott, who did not commit a turnover on Wednesday night, also corralled 14 rebounds for the sixth-seeded Hawks. He's been terrific lately (18.5 ppg, 10.0 rpg in his last five games) but we doubt that trend continues Sunday when the Hawks open the postseason at Indiana.
