Final Score: D.C. United 0, New England 0

Foxborough, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Revolution failed to continue their winning ways on Saturday as the club was held to a 0-0 draw at Gillette Stadium by last-place D.C. United.

The Revs entered Saturday's match having won their last three games by a combined score of 9-0, and despite controlling the large majority of the action on Saturday, the home side was unable to crack the United defense and had to settle for a point.

Lee Nguyen went close with a shot from inside the area, but he saw his effort sail narrowly over the crossbar, while Juan Toja forced United goalkeeper Bill Hamid to parry his shot from 12 yards prior to halftime.

The second half was more of the same for New England as Diego Fagundez got to the edge of the area and whistled a shot just over the net before Chris Tierney came within inches of putting the Revs in front when he fired a shot off the near post in the 66th minute.

Kelyn Rowe came off the bench for the hosts in the second half and he nearly snatched the win in the 90th minute, but Hamid was able to tip his shot past the post to preserve a point.

United's winless streak has now reached 12 matches, while New England has kept a clean sheet in its last four games.
