Insight: Portland is seeking a protective covering for Batum's face in advance of Sunday's game against the Rockets, Batum's agent said. He was able to play through the injury Friday but now that the Trail Blazers know his nose is broken they won't put him on the court without a mask.

Insight: Batum hasn't missed a game yet this season. The Trail Blazers still don't have a viable option behind Batum (12.8 ppg, 5.4 apg, 6.4 rpg) at small forward so he should see plenty of minutes on Friday.

Insight: Batum will wear a protective cast on his finger nonstop for the next six weeks. He admitted he cannot dribble much with his left hand, but he's probable for Tuesday's game.

Insight: Batum suffered a concussion last week but he passed all tests and is ready to go. He is one of the top players in fantasy basketball for his ability to deliver strong production in every category. He averaged 14.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.1 blocks and 2.3 threes. They are all repeatable numbers.
