K-Rod blows save, but Brewers top Yanks

Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Rickie Weeks had three hits and scored the winning run in the ninth inning to give the Milwaukee Brewers a 6-5 victory over the New York Yankees at Miller Park.

Weeks added a pair of RBI to help the Brewers overcome Francisco Rodriguez's first blown save of the season and take the rubber match of this three-game interleague set. His broken-bat double over the first-base bag off Adam Warren (1-2) with one out in the bottom of the ninth set up Mark Reynolds' game- ending single.

Rodriguez (1-0), who entered the matchup 15-for-15 in save opportunities and had been unscored upon in 19 innings this season, served up Mark Teixeira's solo homer with two outs in the top of the ninth that knotted the score at 5-5.

Reynolds finished with two hits, while Brewers starter Matt Garza contributed a double and run scored at the plate.

Garza allowed three runs -- all in the first inning -- over five innings of work.

Teixeira ended 2-for-4 and scored three times in the loss, with Kelly Johnson and Yangervis Solarte each driving in two runs for New York.
