Final Score: Vancouver 2, Seattle 2

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Vancouver Whitecaps FC striker Eric Hassli showed what he can do when he actually stays on the field for 90 minutes on Saturday.

Hassli, who has received three red cards already this season, scored the goal of the season in the 85th minute against Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field, helping his side claim a 2-2 draw in an entertaining Cascadia derby.

The Frenchman opened the scoring for his team in the 29th minute from the penalty spot after Camilo drew a foul on Seattle's Osvaldo Alonso, and the score remained the same until a frantic final 10 minutes.

Seattle (5-4-7) equalized in the 81st minute when a left-wing cross was redirected inside the penalty area and fell into the path of Mauro Rosales, whose right-footed volley left 'Caps goalkeeper Joe Cannon with no chance.

Vancouver (1-6-8) then gave away another goal three minutes later when Alonso collected a turnover near the edge of the penalty area and drove a low shot inside the bottom-right corner.

It looked like Seattle was poised to steal a win, but Hassli came through in a big way with a wonderful volley from 20 yards that found the upper-left corner of goalkeeper Kasey Keller's net.

The goal silenced the boisterous Seattle crowd and helped the visitors grab a point, although they remain winless in their last 14 games.
