Kansas City, KS (Sports Network) - Seattle Sounders FC clinched a spot in the 2010 Major League Soccer playoffs with a 2-1 win at the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday night at CommunityAmerica BallPark.

Second-half goals by Sanna Nyassi and Alvaro Fernandez gave the visitors a 2-0 advantage before Davy Arnaud pulled on back in the closing minutes with a penalty kick.

Kansas City (9-12-6) is not officially eliminated from playoff contention yet, but it needs to win its final three games (at Chicago, at New England, and home vs. San Jose) while needing that the Colorado Rapids to lose their last two (at Los Angeles, home vs. Real Salt Lake).

Nyassi opened the scoring in the 66th minute on Saturday after he knocked home a rebound for his second goal of the season.

Fernandez made it 2-0 Seattle (13-9-6) in the 78th with his second of the season, as well.

Kansas City striker Teal Bunbury was taken down from behind in the 83rd, drawing a penalty kick, which Arnaud converted to make it 2-1 with his fifth goal of the season to close out the scoring.
