Final Score: Colorado 2, FC Dallas 2

Frisco, TX (Sports Network) - Milton Rodriguez and David Ferreira scored and FC Dallas tied the Colorado Rapids, 2-2, on Saturday to extend its undefeated streak to 19 matches, a new single-season record in Major League Soccer.

Dallas, which last lost in May, broke the single-season record previously held by the Columbus Crew. Dallas also tied Columbus for the longest undefeated run in MLS history, which the Crew did over two seasons.

Dallas (12-2-14) ended its home regular-season schedule with just one loss at Pizza Hut Park, finishing 8-1-6 overall in those 15 matches. Dallas also set the MLS record for ties in a season.

Jeff Larentowicz scored both goals for Colorado (11-8-9), which rebounded well from last weekend's 1-0 loss to D.C. United, but still hasn't clinched a berth in the postseason.

Larentowicz gave Colorado the lead in the 13th minute off an assist from Omar Cummings, but Rodriguez answered with his fifth goal of the season in the 27th on an unassisted effort.

Ferreira netted his eighth goal of the season 10 minutes later for Dallas off assists from Marvin Chavez and Jair Benitez, but Larentowicz added his second of the match and fourth of the season six minutes after halftime off a Jamie Smith assist to cap the scoring.

Colorado needed a win to have any chance of clinching a playoff spot, and will need to get a result at the Los Angeles Galaxy on Oct. 16 in its next match to secure a berth. FC Dallas, which previously clinched, visits Real Salt Lake on Oct. 16.
