Commerce City, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rapids earned a 3-0 win over the visiting New England Revolution in Major League Soccer action at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday night.

Omar Cummings, Conor Casey scored first-half goals and Wells Thompson added on after the break to help the team earn its third straight home win by a 3-0 score.

Cummings got things going early when he was sent through by a Jamie Smith pass before snapping his fifth goal in the last four games past New England goalkeeper Matt Reis. The goal was Cummings' team-leading 11th of the season.

Cummings set up his strike partner Conor Casey 30 minutes later to put the home side up 2-0. The goal, Casey's 10th, makes him the first Rapids player score in double digits in three different seasons. Also with the goal, Cummings and Casey have scored in same game in three of last four games, and five times this season.

Thompson closed out the scoring seven minutes from time when he cutting inside from the left and fired a shot past Reis, who made five saves in the losing effort.

The Rapids(10-7-7) travel to Western rival Real Salt Lake next Saturday in their next league fixture, while New England plays at Dallas on Wednesday.
