Final Score: Philadelphia 1, Chicago 0

Chester, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Union earned a 1-0 victory over the Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer action at PPL Park on Saturday thanks to Sebastien Le Toux's first-half goal.

The expansion Union (6-11-6) also earned the first clean sheet in franchise history, thanks to Brad Knighton's four-save effort.

Le Toux's winner came after former Fire midfielder Justin Mapp scooped up a loose ball in the midfield and found the Frenchman alone at the top of the Chicago 18-yard box. Le Toux then took a touch before firing a perfectly placed shot inside the left post after faking like he was going to shot toward the left side.

The goal was Le Toux's 11th on the season, putting him just two behind league- leader Edson Buddle ahead of the Galaxy's match with Columbus later Saturday night.

The Union will aim to build on their current three-game unbeaten streak when they visit the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday, while the Fire (6-8-8) hope to rebound at Real Salt lake next Saturday in their next MLS fixture.
