Santa Clara, CA (Sports Network) - The San Jose Earthquakes won their second straight Major League Soccer fixture, 2-0 over the New England Revolution at Buck Shaw Stadium on Saturday night.

Chris Wondolowski and Ike Opara scored second-half goals to lead the 'Quakes past the Revs.

The game was a stalemate until Wondolowski's tally in the 57th minute. Joey Gjertsen started the chance by winning a 50-50 ball in the midfield before playing to forward Ryan Johnson. Johnson then drove past a number of defenders to the top of the New England penalty area before playing a diagonal ball into the box that Wondolowski one-timed past Preston Burpo.

Opara added the insurance goal in the 72nd minute when he headed home a Bobby Convey corner kick from the right side. It was the rookie's second goal in as many games.

The 'Quakes (2-1-0) will aim to build on their recent results at Chivas USA next Saturday, while New England (2-2-0), which was playing without its best player Shalrie Joseph, will try to rebound vs. Colorado earlier the same night in its next MLS fixture.
