Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Michael Fucito scored his first MLS goal in the 92nd minute and Kasey Keller made a great save seconds later, leading Seattle Sounders FC to a 1-0 win Saturday over the Kansas City Wizards at Qwest Field.

Fucito broke behind Kansas City's defense off a throw in and scored inside the near post on goalie Jimmy Nielsen, who allowed his first goal of the season.

Kansas City (2-1-0) nearly answered off the restart, but Keller tipped a shot from Chance Myers just wide of the left post.

Seattle (2-1-1) had two good chances early, with Pat Noonan missing wide left, and Fredy Montero denied at the left post by Nielsen.

K.C. lost veteran defender Jimmy Conrad in the 33rd to an apparent injury, but the Wizards contained Seattle until the closing seconds.

Freddie Ljungberg failed to find a teammate off a free kick form the right in the 90th, but Brad Evans' quick throw in found a streaking Fucito two minutes later for the game-winner.

Fucito raced behind Kansas City's defense, catching two defenders flat-footed, and beat Nielsen to the right post from inside the area. Nielsen, who replaced veteran Kevin Hartman in goal this year, did not allow a goal in his first two matches.

Myers, who entered the match in the 91st, nearly caught Seattle celebrating as he raced in off the restart and forced Keller to make a huge save at the near post. Keller got just enough of the ball to tip it wide of the left post, and Kansas City failed to take advantage of the ensuing corner kick.

Seattle returns to action Thursday when it visits FC Dallas. Kansas City hosts the Los Angeles Galaxy on April 24.
