Final Score: Seattle 1, Houston 1

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Seattle Sounders scored a late goal at the Houston Dynamo to earn a 1-1 draw in Major League Soccer action at Robertson Stadium.

Nate Jaqua's equalizer, his seventh goal of the season, was enough to help the Sounders earn a valuable road point against the Western Conference leaders, who hold a four-point lead on second-placed Los Angeles.

The Sounders, on the other hand, tie Chivas USA for third in the table - seven points back - although the Goats have three games in hand.

Houston got the game's first goal in the 36th minute when defender Geoff Cameron skipped a header into the far post after a Brad Davis free kick into the penalty area from about 35 yards out.

That was how the score stayed until Jaqua's equalizer. James Riley crossed a ball into the area from the right side to Steve Zakuani, on the left side of the area. The rookie, who had just missed a wide-open tap-in goal moments earlier, then headed back across the grain to Jaqua, who pushed the ball over the goal line with an awkward shot from close range.

The Dynamo (11-6-7) will travel to Colorado on Sunday for their next league match, while the Sounders (8-6-9) host Toronto FC a day earlier.
