Final Score: Real Salt Lake 1, Seattle 0

Sandy, UT (Sports Network) - Nick Rimando posted his fifth shutout of the year and assisted on the lone goal of the game, leading Real Salt Lake to a 1-0 win over Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday night at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Rimando was only tested once by Seattle - finishing with one save - but set up the lone goal with a long pass from his own area to Findley just steps outside the opposite box.

Findley got away from Seattle's Peter Vagenas and slotted past Kasey Keller to the left side for his eighth goal of the season.

Real Salt Lake (7-8-5) continued to play well at home, winning for the sixth time in 10 home games. RSL is 6-1-3 overall at Rio Tinto and closed the gap on first-place Houston to nine points despite being sixth in the West.

Seattle, which lost 4-0 to San Jose last week, dropped its second straight and slipped from second to fourth in the West. Los Angeles and Colorado passed the Sounders on Saturday with wins over New England and Chivas USA, respectively.
