Final Score: Columbus 3, Toronto 2

Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - The Columbus Crew's Jason Garey scored a goal two minutes into second half stoppage time to propel his team to a 3-2 victory over visiting Toronto FC on Saturday night at Crew Stadium.

With the game knotted at two late in the second half, Columbus right back Frankie Hejduk took control of the ball on the right flank and drove into the offensive third before crossing into the six-yard box. Garey then skied to head the perfect service home for the game winner.

With the victory, Columbus (7-3-9) moves into first in the Eastern Conference with 30 points.

Toronto (7-7-5), on the other hand, stays stuck in the middle of the Eastern table.

The Crew scored the game's first goal in the 32nd minute after defender Danny O'Rourke deked around a defender on the right flank after finding space in the offensive third. He then played a ball in to Eddie Gaven, who buried his third goal of the season.

TFC equalized three minutes later on Dwayne De Rosario's seventh of the season after Marvell Wynn took on defender Gino Pedula at the top of the box and drove toward the goal line. He then played a pass across the box that was deflected by Pablo Vitti right to De Rosario, who had an easy tap-in goal.

Ali Gerba gave TFC its first lead of the game in the 49th minute when he converted a Chad Barrett pass before the Crew's Steven Lenhart equalized in the 76th minute.

The Crew are back in action next Saturday at Colorado, while TFC will aim to rebound at New England the same day in its next MLS match.
