Washington, D.C. (Sports Network) - Josh Wicks made eight saves for his first MLS shutout, helping D.C. United draw Real Salt Lake 0-0 on Saturday night at RFK Stadium to extend its unbeaten streak to seven games.

Wicks is one of three goalies to start for D.C. this season, and made two great saves on Robbie Findley to highlight his performance. Wicks, acquired from the Los Angeles Galaxy in March, has tied all three of his starts.

United (3-1-7) posted just its second shutout of the year. Louis Crayton helped D.C. blank the Houston Dynamo, 1-0, on April 4.

RSL (3-5-2) earned its first point on the road this year. RSL dropped its first four road matches, and still hasn't scored away from Rio Tinto Stadium.

D.C. had the first good chance of the match, but midfielder Fred missed wide on an open volley in the first half. Wicks followed with his first big save in the final five minutes of the half, charging off his line to deny Findley.

Wicks denied Findley again in the 74th minute, diving to the lower-right corner to knock a header wide. The D.C. goalie's performance gave his team a chance to earn another late win - United has earned three ties and a win in the last five minutes this season.

D.C. rookie midfielder Chris Pontius almost made Wicks a winner, but his chance in the 83rd minute was headed just wide of the right post.

Real goalkeeper Nick Rimando, back from injury, made just one save to post his second shutout of the season.
